Mike Young
Mike has been teaching yoga for over 20 years within the Viniyoga approach. He has taught many yoga classes to both individuals and groups in varied settings including within schools, universities, businesses, and the NHS. He taught Yoga and mediation to prisoners for over 10 years and as a result of this work he qualified as a counsellor in 2004. He lives in Herefordshire with is wife Eve, an artist, and 3 children. He also works one day a week in Cardiff.
He became interested in The Alexander Technique in 2007 and began a 4 year study course in the ITM approach to the Technique, qualifying in 2012. It has had a beneficial effect on all areas of his life including how he understands, practises and teaches yoga.
He believes that this is the strength of the technique in that not only does it stand alone as a method for improving the quality of one's life but it can help deepen and enrich any activity or discipline in which a person is engaged.
